ive been here a few months and that is what I see.am I missing something or misinterpreting? its a new city.maybe all are newcomers like me.

For starters, and as I'm sure you've noticed, Charlotte is a BIG city. It's easy for someone new to get lost in the crowd. You need to make an effort to get to know someone. Go out of your way to be friendly. Get involved in a club or organization. If you don't put yourself out there it's going to be hard to meet anyone. And, no, the people in Charlotte, NC are NOT stuck up or snobby.

I think it depends on the area of Charlotte that you in. I would agree that there is a lot of "keeping up with the Jones" issues here in Charlotte. The south side and downtown seem to have this we are better feel to them. Remember there is a lot of $$ in Charlotte with professional sports teams, multiple fortune 500 companies and the second largest banking center in the US.
Drive around a little and get a good feel for all of Charlotte. Eat at some restaurants not near where you live. I am sure that you will find there are many people who are not snobby or stuck up.

I live outside of Charlotte and in a neighborhood where people sterotype me as a rich snob. I guess it depends on where you go. Charlotte is a good city but it has a lot of crime and snobs. It depends on where you go really. There are great people in the Charlotte area; you just have to know where to look. I'm not a snob so, no, not everyone is a stuck up snob.

I don't think so. people in charlotte are nice. though I get along with everyone.
