My question is this....Why do you preach that all women who opt to have an abortion should instead give the baby up for adoption? You state over and over and over that there are women and couples out there that can't have kids but there are just as many children currently in the system who have not been adopted. Why?
I don't see how repeatedly bringing up the adoption issue makes a valid argument.

For those who say, "well, the people who adopt only want babies...." How selfish is that? I mean, they're all like, "oh, it's so sad that you're in the system at 8 or 12 or whatever but sorry we'd rather have an infant." C'mon people....

OKAY to CLARIFY.....I specifically was talking about the SPECIFIC argument of ADOPTION vs ABORTION.
MO MO...Did I say that all kids that were put up for adoption should've been aborted? NO, I DID NOT.

Oh and Mo Mo, pole dancing and bellydancing are two very different things.....pole dancing or stripping is something men go watch in a men's club. Bellydancing is an ancient form of dance that celebrates womanhood and takes a lot of time and effort to learn. Just thought you'd want to know.....

Ask those pro life advocates how many pets they've put to sleep in their lives or how much money they contribute to charities to help support all the abandoned and sick children around their cities countries and the world. Maybe rather than contributing to church group that spends it's money on only supporting themselves, they should give that 10% a pay check to world vision or towards bettering the health care and education systems for low income families in their countries. Or they can all just go F@#$ themselves and understand that just like they have the freedom to choose how they live their lives so does everyone else. Tell them if they don't like peoples freedom of choice they should go to Iraq, cause they hold the same beliefs on abortion pro-lifers in north America do...
Oh and for all the people on here who keep calling it murder and make statements that gear the issue towards minorities or drug addicts. Grow up and get an education. The fact is the majority of woman that have abortions are middle class white americans. Religion has no place in the legal or medical world. So stay out of it. Doctors and lawyers don't go into churches and argue that Christ was a brown man and was born a Jew. Or that we evolved from ameoba rather than poof there was Adam and Eve. I'm tired of religion being used as an excuse. It makes people sound ignorent when all they can do is quote the bible to make a point. Create your own passed and future. And stay the hell away from me and others who just want to live in a world where we have the right to raise our families with good social morals and give them the freedom to create their own futures.

Most people want a newborn when they what to adopt. Whereas, Most children who are in the system were put there when they were older. When the state finds the parents unfit. I believe that abortion should be done only if it is life threatening to the mother, but I also believe that it should be the woman's choice. I would never have an abortion. I do believe that it is murder. I got pregnant when I was still in high school. I finished, got married to the father of my child, and now I own a house. I have Read up on all the abortion techniques and almost all of them horrified me. I do not understand why people would do something like that to a child who hasn't and will never have a chance to live. To find love. To have a child of their own. It makes no sense to me. I have friends who are unable to have the children that they want so bad. I also Have a sister who has two children from two different people and doesn't even know who the father is to the second one. She lives with our parents and has no life ambitions of her own. We all believe that she should have given the up for adoption. I was willing to take them even. But each women has to make her choices for herself. No one else can make it for them.

Aborting a baby is a very serious issue - it is killing another human being that was brought into being by the voluntery coupling of the parents. I know there are rapes and such but I am talking about people who just want sex but not the responsibilty.
Personally if it was my baby I would refuse abortion out right don't matter about consequences.
If I created a life then I have the responsibility to protect and nuture that life no matter how I am affected as my rights do not superced the right's of another human life through my choice of having sex brought that baby into being.
If people took more responsibilty for themselves then a lot of abortions would not be needed but the world is selfish.

Most of the children in the system not being adopted are not babies. Everyone wants a baby, no one wants a 13 year old. So your observation is not valid. Besides they don't all say "Give the baby up for adoption" there are as many that say keep the child.

Because what we feel is a tragedy is to create a life and if it doesn't work for the mother, to simply destroy the life and not give it a chance.
Personally, I would rather see women look for alternatives rather than simply aborting. And that's why we suggest adoption. If raising the child is not an option, why not give it up for adoption. Aborting that child deprives it of any chance for a life, and it only focuses on the mother.

I think the logic here is if you didn't keep the baby your not going by the natural responsibility of being a woman, and actually going to kill an Innocent life, to make your own life easier, think of it like this, are you paying someone to take or stop a life. Although not all children are adopted, I think you forgot that even if children are not adopted, they are fed, clothed, as well as educated to government standards. Its not like they just stock pile kids and feed then bones or something. Basically the kids are alive, the woman learns a lesson (in a case of a rape the baby is used as DNA evidence, although they actually do have the 72 hour pills out now...with a 75%+ rate of working) and goes on her life, and if she ever wants to see the child, if its legally set up that way she can.
So to sum it up, child alive, clothed fed and educated < head sucked out though tube and killed.

Adoption isn't the only option. How about prevention.
If only the babies that were results of rapes, etc were the ones put up for adoption it wouldn't be as bad. And the majority of the children that are up for adoption are not infants, they are older children. Infants have no problem getting adopted.
Not every abortion is performed because there is "no other choice" or a result of "rape or incest".

Probably because most couples who want to adopt want a BABY (or more specifically, a white baby with no health problems), and the children out there waiting to be adopted are older, are a race other than caucasian, have behavior problems or sicknesses, come from drug-addled parents, etc., and unfortunately there is a shortage of people willing to adopt these children. People encourage adoption because there are lots of couples who want a baby.

You are so right about the issues with adoption. The problems of all of the red tape it takes to adopt is a governmental issue. The abortion issue is and issue of morality.
The living God, Yahweh, says through His word, that he knows every person, even before they are conceived. He loves every human at every stage of life! Even Conception and before. He know all!
Every society must have a moral value within which it can operate optimally for all individuals. Our country's moral history is Christianity and the law of Jesus Christ.
Give love and show grace to ALL.
Abortion, therefore, doesn't fit into our societies moral stance.
Granted, there is much we need to do to make adoption more accessible and expedited. That is our problem....not God's.

The reason for my strong pro-life view is that a baby, no matter if it's 1 minute old or 9 months old, is still A HUMAN BEING. It is alive, and though you can't see it with your own eyes, though it can't talk, it was placed there for a purpose. That child could one day change the world, but not if it is killed before it has the chance. Also, if you talk to any woman who has had an abortion, you will see that she truly wishes she had kept the baby. There will always be this twinge of guilt for killing something of your own flesh and blood. When they kill what's inside of them, a part of them dies too.
