It will open around 11 am, you could hang out at Downtown Disney for a while and have breakfast at Rain Forest Cafe, before they open. It's better in the winter...not so crowded. Have fun! I live near the area let me know if you have any further questions.

October is a great time to go to Disneyland. The weater will most likely still be warm in the day and pleasant at night. In early October it may even still be in the 80's in the daytime. So don't really think of it as winter! You will want to bring a sweatshirt or jacket just in case it does cool down, but get a locker so you don't have to carry it all day. The park will be uncrowded, but still get any FastPasses you can. Some of the rides get longer lines even in the off-season. Judging on the September times, the park will probably open at 9am on Sunday and 10 am on Monday. If you are staying at one of the onsite hotels you may get an early entry day; check with the hotel for details. Definitely get there when it opens, and make sure you check the schedule for any closed attractions so you don't wast time running to them. Have a wonderful time and do stay for the fireworks if you can!

I have been to Disneyworld in December-January...be prepared for shorter hours and sometimes no fireworks. We went late in August once and there were only fireworks on weekends. Sundays and Mondays being weeknights they might have early closures-some of the employees might be high-schoolers etc. I think you could call Disneylands phone number and ask if they have a basic idea of hours-just be prepared for early closures.

I go to Disneyland a lot, and normally they open at 8 am, and California Adventure opens at 10 am.

Opening times would probably be the same as in Sept., but the parks have been fiddling with their schedules the last couple of years. Nasty business, opening less hours and then saying smaller attendance is why. Duh, they started the spiral down.
