I have a window unit that i think is low on refrigerant..the air temp is appx 72 degrees. i have already cleaned the coils..any ideas??

They can be recharged but, if it is more than 5 years old, it is more cost efficient to get a new one. If you must have the old one looked at, bring it to a shop - at least you will not be charged for a home visit.

If it's a small unit - toss it and buy another. The repair costs will exceed the cost of a new unit. This approach holds true for most window shakers. Good luck.

call an a/c man,, they are indeed fixable--your might just be low on freon deprnding on how old it is it might be better to buy a new one in this day and time they are pretty cheap
