Are you on DSL or Modem?

If you are on DSL, you might not have the filters on correctly. the frequency from the phonecall is interfereing with your connection.

If you are on Modem, then you have it set up so that the modem will stop what you are doing for you to answer the phone. You have to disable this so that it will not stop your surfing.
