I doubt it,except that many Americans go to Mexico to retire. What kind of tantrum would they pitch if they were told that they could no longer live or vacation in Mexico.I bet it would be a different story if the tables turned.

What a silly question. Perhaps you should research the trade balance between the two countries, the amount of tourism the Mexicans rely on from those of us in the United Sates and the number of US dollars invested in Mexico each year. The two countries have been good neighbors for a long time. The govenment of the United States certainly has better hopes and faith in the people of Mexico than their own corrupt politicians do. Maybe we should not have left the country after the Mexican-American War in the 1840's. The people there might have preferred statehood, or statehood for all 26 of their states, in the United States. Most of the people here respect and appreciate the people of Mexico. Their history, their culture and their people are amazing.

I dont think americans have a problem with mexico itself. Its the mexicans that take up all the ******* parking spaces in my apartment complex and that are rude as hell neighbors stomping on the ******* floor at 11 at night. Mexico the country is alright with me, but the 20 living above me, the 11 to my right, and the 16 to my left can go back

It wasn't suddenly, immigration from Mexico has been going on for a long long time.. but now.we have more media attention, and Mexico bashing, than we have had in the last 50 years. I'm sick of it. Mexico is our biggest ally in the Western hemisphere, and a Christian country for that matter. Presidente Fox on his way out Lopez Obrador and Calderon in a vote counting scrap. I resent the "all Americans" connotation.

Americans should know more names of more presidents not just the Mexican one. The education level in the us is pathetic, and the fact that you see it as a negative that people in the us are taking interest in something about another country just goes to show how some hick from texas can be considered educated and savvy enough to be running the united states.

the water will make you sick. The drug gangs gun down people in the streets like no others, their army has come into Texas in support of drug runners, lots of things about Mexico. It could be a really nice place, but they export their poor to the US, and the corruption is so bad they will never get out of it. Maybe if the people stayed there to try to change it, but alas, no.

Some probably wouldn't, but then those are probably the same ones that don't know where Washingtom D.C. is!!
Or those that confuse Mexico in America with Spain in Europe, simply because they speak the same language...!

Of course they would, many americans travel to mexico for leisure! It is cheaper than going to the caribbean...I mean many of them have been at least once in cancun or baja for a wild spring break :)...
