To anyone out there that can draw. My husband wants to get a tattoo for me and I'm all for it but I want it to be something good. Does anyone out there have any ideas or can anyone out there draw something up for me? I want something with the Puerto Rican flag (for him) & the Irish flag (for me) with my name on it? Thanks in advance :)

A good tattoo shop should have an artist that can do this. Have you been told that it is bad luck to have a spouse's name tattoo'd? My hubby had one done on his chest with his name and my name on it. People told him before he did it that it was bad luck. He's been told that since as well. WHATEVER! Anyway, I hope you can find what you're looking for.

Tramp stamp Stars Hears Tribal arm bands Happy face Go into any tattoo parlor and there's walls of what looks like clip art. These are all from the same book. The classic teenage tattoo is just taken from the wall. You can probably even get an interview from the artist.

It really needs your imput and idea. The last tattoo I got, I was sitting in the chair and watched this young lady ask the artist "how much is this one?" before she was able to leaf through the flash are and get a tattoo that was $50. Apparently that was all teh cash she had on her, and she ended up with a butterfly about the size of a lady bug. It is with you "forever" make sure it means something to "you."

I can't draw well, but go to a tattoo place and ask them about it as well as setting up a date when to get it done. Tattoo artists work very closely to want the person wants of a tattoo and they will probably sketch up a design if you ask them and see how it goes from there.

Just say no! Tattoos are such a fad. Only people who are really benefitting from them are the parlors who sell them to you and the removal places who charge you to get the blurry purple ugly thing off in a few years.

Go to a tattoo shop and talk to an artist. Tell him/her you idea and get some input. Don't settle for something that "will do". Remember, this will be a permanent part of your body. Give it plenty of thought and be patient, don't rush in too quick. I hope I helped!!

1. don't get it if you don't want it for yourself
2. talk to a tatto artist to help you come up with something
3. a tattoo will be there forever, make sure you want to see it or for it to be seen in 10,20,30,40 or even 50 years

good luck I have 5 with about 6 more planned.....the are all significant to me

Tattoo shops have wonderful artists in them, all with different specialties. Consult the tattooist who will be doing the work. Often even if you bring in your own design, they tweak it a bit anyhow.

it's probably a better idea to check your local artists, since they're the ones going to be sticking you. unless you get a REALLY good paper copy, a lot depends on the talent of the inking artist, moreso than the idea artist (if that makes sense)
