Some brands scented toilet paper, but regular toilet paper is just plain paper, that is thing and soft. I don't think the toilet paper comes from recylcled paper.

Yes, it is a dumb question! Toilet paper is made of paper. Like any other type of paper is may have colouring material, perfume, chemicals used in the manufacturing process, etc. Why not ask Andrex?

Depends on the brand...

Most use "recovered" wood pulp - i.e. recycled newspaper, etc + a certain amount of virgin pulp (recycled pulp has shorter fibers, so is weaker), some then add a binder (sometimes a starch) + any other extras such as aloe. Hot air is blown across it while it is in a web format, then its perforated, cut and packaged.

It is wood pulp without finishing pressing sizing machine. AlCl3 is also used for absorbent. Colour and fragrant are the other important chemicals. Moisture level is normal 5% at room temperature. Filler like talc are not used in it.

Paper, you're right it is a little stupid, not dumb though. Specifically paper! Recycled paper comes generally from offices as clean used/waste paper with all metal (staples, paper clips) removed.
