You're right - your hormones are changing and he needs to accept that. Try buying "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and there should be some things in there for him to read to help him understand what you're going through.

Oh, and congratulations!!

My husband understands - to an extent. He knows why I sleep (actually I DON'T because its d*mn near impossible these days... I lay in bed for five hours staring into the darkness, tossing and turning until I finally just get up and pass out on the couch in the living room). But, he doesn't seem to understand when it comes to things that bother me. He always likes to make comments that are rather childish and it annoys me. Most the time I ignore them, but he doesnt really understand that his comments bother me sometimes. Like he will say "Geeze your getting fat". I know he is kidding (I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and I weigh 130. Pre-pregnancy 110) or if I am changing and he is in the room he will say something like "Gorilla boobies." (They are a DD now) But, then again... he is only 19 so most of it is just his immaturity.

Guys just dont understand.

It's hard for men to understand the changes a woman's body goes through when she's pregnant. Because they can't actually see it happening inside you, they don't always comprehend the magnitude of the whole process.

You're growing a life inside of you...of course you're tired! I don't really know what you can do to make him understand except to reassure him that you do love him and you want to spend time with him but you need to rest. Your baby needs you to rest.

And also, in my experience, men ARE big babies. I know mine is.

Good luck with your pregnancy!

It's soo true men most men don't undertsand what women go through when they are pregnant. We have hormones going through our body like crazy and all they think about is themselves and why we are acting difrently towards them... But what we also got to keep in mind is that they have noway of undersatnding anything of what we go through we may tell them and try to explain it to them but they will never know exactly what it is we go through

You need to get him one of those books, what to expect when she's expecting. There is alot of information out there for fathers to be. Great way, to find out how supportive your man really is.

watch out for that one; he's going to be very childish when the baby comes if he can't grasp this simple concept already.
