This is advice only a health professional can give you. There are different types of abortions. Some depend on how far you are into the pregnancy. Most important is to seek advice and counseling to make sure this is what you want to do. There are other actions you can take. Adoption is a beautiful gift to a family who can not conceive and most important to the child you are carrying. In the end it is your choice.

Anything you try, if you don't know what you are doing is dangerous.
Already the first answer gives a very dangerous way, since that often penetrates the insides and can cause blood poisoning.
Since Planned Parenthood helps with that these days, this type of butchery is no longer necessary.
Also, even though I know all the ins and outs of this, I would never put it in here because the liability if someone screws up is much too great.

It is very dangerous! Many girls have died and had complications from it that prevent them from having children later. And the emotional well being of that person is effect for a long time.
They use many methods from burning the flesh off of the baby to riping it limb from limb.
With the new 4 D sonigrams now it is clear to see that early on babies have all their parts. And if you can get a hold of the video "Silent scream" you will see that even at 6 week in the womb babies feel the pain and scream while being ripped apart.

It is NOT very dangerous... actually it is one of the safest pregnancy-related procedures a woman can have done (when it is provided in a safe and LEGAL environment). Since you are a college student, you should know how to look things up on the internet!

There are different types of abortion. So it really depends on the one being done. But yes, they are all dangerous especially to the precious child living inside of the mother. The mother can also have serious mental and physical side effects that can last the rest of her life.

The 2 ways I know of are: 1. They inject a saline solution into your womb which kills the baby (that's right I said baby, not "embryo") and then they suck it out w/a vacuum like tube which of course breaks it into pieces. 2. The other way is they safely insert into you a device that can then cut the baby into pieces, then they suck it out. And there are other ways. My boyfriend used to not care one way or the other about abortion. Then he saw a Pro-Life poster of pictures of aborted babies, arms, legs, some were still whole. Now he sees what so may people still can't see; that inside that womb is a human. OK, I'll get off my "soapbox" now. I just hope this "post" changes someone's mind the way it changed my boyfriend's mind.

Well if you were a college student, you should of already seen in some books or somewhere. I was twelve when I found out. It was in a book. I also did a research on SIDS and when I studied on that I also came across abortions.

If you go to a preoper clinic, it will depend how far pregnant you are to the procedure they would use, upto 9 weeks can be as simple as just taking a tablet, after 9 weeks, it is a case of surgery, where they cut the foetus and suck all the parts out, even later than that, they will have to induce labour, hope this helps x
