There are very few nations which are also specific racial ethnic groups. Generaly the ones which are are either massive or geographically isolated. A good example of a nationality which is also a race is Mongolian as people from this region have noticable ethnic differences to surrounding countries. Most countries are either of multiethnicity or a small part of a larger ethnic region. For example Sweden has nordic caucasian as its ethnic population as does Norway, and Iceland.
America is a nationality but is not a race or ethnicity.

American is not a race unless you preface it with 'native'. Most people I know have prejudices about other nationalities, usually those of the country next door. That cannot make people racist as nationalities, and 'American' is a good example, often consist of many races. 'Nationalist' might be the term you need but that is usually seen as positive whereas 'racist' is negative.

American is a nationality. A race is something entirely different. If you have a prejudice against anyone, based on race, nationality or the color of their hair - YOU have a problem.

The "American Indians" qualify as a race. The rest of us are all mixed. Also, what does get me is that the United States is not the only Country in America. There is North America, Central America and South America so all the people who live in these are Americans, not just us. As I already said, the American Indians are the only True American Race!!!

No, I don't think any nationality qualifies as a race. Many countries have more than one ethnic group.
A prejudice against a nationality could be nativism, xenophobia, or nationalism.

I see quite a few people here say that american indians are a race of people. Those of us who are of the category described here are mistakenly given that label. First of all we are not indians. Indians live in the nation of India. We were given that name when good ol chris columbus ended up here by mistake while trying to discover a new trade route to India. He got lost or blown off course and discovered america Little did he know that this area existed long before he "discovered it". This continent was not known as america until some spaniard named Amerigo Vespuci got lost and ended up here as well. If a person wants to refer to Native Americans by their proper names they should do some research and find out the proper name for the various nations which existed before any europeans got lost and ended up here. I am personally a member of the haudenashone people
I am not an "american Indian"

well yeah.....
just because a different country speaks the same language, does not mean there not classified as a different race...they live by different cultures and morals so that makes them a different race.
and oh my god ive confused myself so im just getting out of here!!!
I wouldnt of thought say...that british people hating american people would be racist but it would definatly be discrimination against them. Its only racist if your making a remark about somebodies colour of skin.....anything else is classed as discrimination or predujice...i think..thats what i was taught in sociology!!!

Have you any idea how small the Earth looks from the Moon? From Mars it's just a pinprick of light.
We're all struggling along on this tiny rock in the middle of a void too big for our tiny minds to comprehend, we have billions of years spreading ahead of us representing opportunities beyond imagining.
And you ask ... well, you know what you asked.
