Seriously, why do we care about the persoanl lives of players. On the COVER of both the New York Daily News and New York Post today is a headline about Mets catcher Paul LoDuca going through a divorce and about how he likes to bet on horses. I dont give a crap about that. Its his personal life and its his business.

What I care about is that Paul LoDuca is hitting .322 and is a leader in the Mets clubhouse, but thats isnt on the cover, I dont get it.

Okay, granted I DID buy the newspaper this morning, but not cuz of Paul LoDuca. I buy it every morning at the candy store before I get on the Subway so I have something to read while im on my way to work, I dont really look at the covers when I buy it.

I agree with you. I'm not sure why Paul LoDuca's divorce is getting frontpage headlines when our world is in such unrest.
I guess it's getting a lot of attention because Mrs. LoDuca is very attractive and he cheated on her.

On another note, I love what LoDuca has brought to the Mets clubhouse and the team. He's a great asset and I hope he keeps handling this situation with the class and maturity that he has been by not bashing his wife in the press and not even discussing the divorce details.

Good question. For me, I don't care about personal lives of athletics. I'll watch the games but turn off the TV for the post game interviews. I could care less what they were thinking. I only care about the result of the game. The only player I ever enjoyed listening to after a game was Mickey Mantle. He was a great interview. Other than that, forget it.

Cheers to you, PBW! But it may not do any well. The small component to Christians who expect they recognise as a lot or extra approximately Judaism than we do, who expect we will all end up Christian a few day, who expect some thing is their interpretation in their scriptures simply MUST be the one one that may be precise, they may not be modified. When I used to be finding out Counseling Psychology we even had a few discussions centering at the proposal that those severe assumptions and simple task within the face of proof to the opposite constituted delusional health problem, identical to pondering you are Napoleon. We have been NOT speaking approximately Christian ideals in Jesus, many of the humans within the seminar have been Christian and I used to be the one Jew. They have been speaking approximately the targeted assumtion that you already know what is right approximately the hearts and minds of an extra humans larger than they themselves. Ironically, I used to be the only within the room such a lot actively announcing that the ones types of Christians don't seem to be in poor health in any intellectual health problem style of method. Being raised in a the city wherein every person assumed I used to be Christian due to the fact that every person else used to be I heard heard how a few of these kids have been pondering. Most of those humans offending us conveniently have no longer had a view trade to their possess provided to them once they have been younger, so by the point they have been confronting confrontation at the discipline their international perspectives have been too set. Then there are the ones, a few of whom I've identified, one I used to be peers with, who have been well peers with, who had suffered a few severe emotional pressure who had to suppose that they had a simple task approximately the arena, some thing they might recognise with out wondering. But it's nonetheless iritating, do not get me flawed, to set myself to reply a query approximately Judaism and spot a record of solutions from humans who do not realize Judaism. And lack of expertise and vanity are nonetheless accessories of what they're doing it doesn't matter what different reasons I placed above. Ignorance, in the end, is the state of ignoring vital know-how however creating a determination besides. But it ain't gonna difference, PBW. I've been in need of to propose to you and Yael a well Jewish dialog web page you will not be equipped to only discover and become a member of in a google seek. And of direction their are websites for dialogue of this subject wherein you are going to discover a extra respectful bunch. So probably touch me off-record when you wish a few much less offensive dialog with bunches of humans. -Glenn O.

By the Post putting headlines like that on the cover they can attract not only their target groups, but also people just passing by who are interested in Gossip. I personally think what they did to Lo Duca was taking it to far. But I assure you they sold ALOT of copies of that issue. Its all about the bucks.

Some people have such small insignificant lives that they feel they can live vicariously through the lives of those they call their heroes.

The irony is, that living through the pain of their heroes actually makes them feel more connected to them.

Sad.

I was in Canton over the weekend for the NFL HOF induction. I would rather rejoice in their triumphs than wallow in their defeats.

I agree with you. I hate seeing all this stuff about the personal lives of sports people and movie stars. Let's stop buying papers and watching shows that encourage this.

If you bought that paper then the Daily News will assume you do care and print more of it.

I agree with that. I don't care about their lives. Just about how they perform on the field....that's all that really matters.
