I'm in a fairly standard scoring 12 team ESPN league with two keepers. My 1st is obvious as it is LT. My problem is the 2nd one. Here are the starting positions: QB, RB, RB, WR/RB, WR, WR, WR/TE, TE, K, D/ST.

Here are my semi-legit choices for my 2nd keeper: Warrick Dunn, Jamal Lewis, Hines Ward, Keenan McCardell, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Drew Brees, and Chicago D/ST.

I normally wouldn't suggest Chicago, but they were my 3rd best scoring option last year behind LT and Brees. My instinct tells me Hines Ward, but I would like your opinion(s).

Thanks!

We do get .5 pts for receptions.

Also, if I don't take a 2nd keeper, I get a pick back, but it isn't until the end of the draft, which doesnt do me any good.

man, that's tough. There's no one there that you would ever cosider as a "2nd round pick"

-CHI: under no circumstance can you consider keeping a defense; that is ludicrous.

-Brees: I love this guy as a sleeper, but he should be going around RD10-11.

Your real options:
Jamal Lewis - terrible last year; injury prone; the addition of Mike Anderson to steal TD's; but he's the #1 back and still a legitimate 3rd rounder

Hines Ward - another 3rd rounder; the clear #1 WR in Pitt and Ben's favorite target.

Warrick Dunn - always seems to fall to 4th round but he will put up more points than most backs taken in the 2nd round.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lewis scares me too much; and I think you can still get Dunn with your 1st or 2nd pick after keepers. Take Hines Ward, he's the best option.

Strongly consider Hines Ward. He is not the best WR but he is solid! He is going to do well for a few years to come.

Chicago's defense is also a good pick too, but I am not sure if I would keep them.

Well I have pretty much repeated what you said, so this was worthless, but it sounds like you know what you are doing.

tough call, but hines ward just said he wants to hit the 10,000 yard mark. He has around 7,000, so he plans on staying for another 3 seasons I'm guessing.... maybe more. I would keep him overall. Defenses are not any concern, since every year they switch.

I'd go with Ward.
