I live in "oil country" California. Everyone one of the oil workers I've spoken to about this has said if it takes more than a week to repair this, then it's a lie.

It wouldn't surprise me. Cheney would sell his mother into white slavery if he thought it would put a dollar in his pocket.

Frigging amazing! You just have to love the conspiracy wackos out there. Dick Cheney is telling BP (a foreign company), to close a pipeline, and drive up oil prices, because this would be just such a good thing for the republican party in an election year. Meanwhile, George Bush is waging war on the entire Middle East to steal all the oil for America.

Please I am begging you. Get up turn off the computer, walk outside, and find a life!

Isn't it convenient for BP they need to create another shortage. Every time there is a shortage, oil company profits rise to record levels. This stinks of corporate greed and corruption.

Our government did order them to check their equipment.. Grin smile wink!

Who knows, but im glad BP found the corrosion on the pipeline when they did. Imagine what you conspiracy people would have done if the pipes would have ruptured. I know Bush would have had something to do with it though!!!!!!

If you would have read the story it talked about the corrosion on that length of pipe. It also had pictures. Do you honestly think these people sit in their office looking for ways to piss us off? Grow up.

I heard he went Caribou hunting & "accidentally" shot a hole in the pipeline, so evil Haliburton could fix it
