I think she had surgery a while back. I don't think she retired. YOu can check out athlete's biographies on the ukathletics homepage.
I want to know about Donna Fraser, cos she's from my home town.

In July 2005 Merry announced her official retirement from athletics. She had been suffering from a foot injury since 2001 and was struggling to get it healed fully.

I think she has taken as a chairperson in the British Athletic Board. She was being interviewed last Saturday on Five Live but cannot ind anything to confirm this.
