I am inclined to say CA. And definitely San Diego, CA.

Your question makes no sense. There are 50 states, so you need to ask in which state gas is MOST expensive. If there were only two states, then your question would be fine, EXCEPT that you failed to capitalize your first word and you misspelled your second.

Such a shame.

I think I just saw in the news that California's is the highest national average. At least it was that day - this might have changed.

California most likely because they have their "car" tax incorporated into gas prices, which is actually very smart because tourists then have to pay and they, the gov., get more $$. Sorry Cal. tourists!

Although those aren't accurate.. I mean when's the last time anyone paid 1.99 for gas? But Hawai'i and California are always first. I know las vegas is at 3.08 right now.

Michigan is likely?? $3.19 and thats average. I saw it above $3.30 before. Thats just gas gouging.
