if you are having trouble getting airborne, here is a little trick you can do to help you get the feeling. do this without your board. stand with you feet shoulder width apart. slowly squat down like you are going to sit on a curb, with your arms straight out in front of you. go as low as you comfortably can. then jump as high as you can and while in mid air pull your legs up so you are in the squatting position, but in the air. then land on your feet.
after you get the feeling, an ollie (and all flip tricks) is the same thing. you just have to find the proper foot position, squat and put pressure on your board, then jump and release the pressure, suck your legs up and catch the board, then land.
after you do this exercise for a while, try grabbing the sides of your feet while in mid air (let go before you land of coarse).
get a skateboard video and watch how others do ollies and you will learn faster than reading about how to do it.

While skating kick the backend of the skateboard causing the front end to come up and then put your weight on the front of the skateboard immediately causing you to do a bunny hop.
