It would depend on the well, if yours is drinkable without any treatments then it should be alright. I have a well, I can't use it for my fish without treating it (very high iron content).
It also depends on if your well is treated or not, some people treat their wells with pretty much the same stuff cities use. If you do so, make sure you use a water conditioner.

Well water supposedly has no chemicals, comes from natural source. Pond water is supposed to be the same way.

Of course. well water is very clean because it is filtered by earth and sand. its the finest water u can have. go for it

If it's safe for you to drink (i.e. Your arsenic and other heavy metal levels are low, total coliform is low, no pollutants), it's safe for your fish. If not, don't use it.
