I do not believe in religion and the GOD as described in any religion. So if i want to discuss about the entity that created the universe i will call that entity BNT (lets call it anything .... but not GOD).

only those who do not believe in GOD(as told by religion) should answer this.

Lets say the entity BNT create the universe. If this was the case what do you think would be the character/attributes of BNT?

for e.g BNT would be in "pure energy" form. or say BNT is "energy+matter" which is in 27th dimension. or say BNT created the universe with "set of rules" but does not care anymore as to what happens in it.

Its really funny that "believers" cannot tolerate that idea that there can be non-believers......i pity them.

this is 'science' section, we are try to define how we can try to define the BNT which has no relation to the religions, which has caused enough war and destruction.

we are trying to debate what could be the attributes of the BNT in terms of science.

Cai's response is interesting.....i would like to hear from more physicists.

Bulgarian National Television (Българска национална телевизия) or BNT (БНТ) is a Bulgarian state television company founded in 1959 which began broadcast on December 26 the same year. The headquarters are located in Sofia, Bulgaria. It broadcasts two channels: the over-the-air BNT Channel 1 and the satellite TV Bulgaria, a channel aiming to broadcast Bulgarian production only. Another channel, Efir 2, existed between 1974 and 1998, and was later substituted by the private bTV.

The company has four regional broadcasting centres, based in Blagoevgrad (Pirin programme), Varna (More programme), Plovdiv (Plovdiv programme) and Rousse (Sever programme).

BNT's first live broadcast was the parade on the occasion of the October Revolution anniversary.

Well that's the big one!

But think 2000yrs ago we thought the earth was flat and we were the centre of the universe 2000yrs later look how far we have advanced.

My point is what may seem totally incomprehensible today may be getting taught at school in 2000yrs.

EXAMPLE 2000yrs ago or so Pi was the most advanced maths, I learned that at 12yrs old.

As a scientist there has to be an answer but as you get to the very edge of current understanding it is to easy to fill the unknown gaps with some type of god just like the Christians did.

So beware don't get a must be a BNT mentality. That type of thinking is what cursed our planet with religion.

The Universe was created by BNT as a computer. The software to this computer is science and mathematics.

We are just an infestation inside the computer.

I fail to see why this is in the science forum. No serious reply to this can be based in science.

I agree that this question does not belong in science.

BUT, Bible thumpers are always posting their faith based answers here, so I'll go ahead and respond.

I like your idea of changing the name of God. Kind of puts things in perspective doesn't it?

BNT would have to be infinite. It would then need to create the universe out of itself, since being infinite it would fill all spaces. It would in fact be the spaces.

So the universe, we and everything else would be a piece of BNT, unaware of our place in a much larger hole. Much at the mitochondria inside our bodies are unaware of their place in a larger existence.

As BNT is infinite, it would be infinite in time as well as space. Therefore, the rules that govern its own existence would be immutable. They are likely the physical laws that we know of and have yet to discover. BNT has always, and will always exist. Our fate is debatable.

BNT is not necessarily omniscient. It does not appear to be aware of us since our day to day reality seems to be governed by the laws of physics.

It is likely that BNT is unaware of concepts such as "good" and "evil" since these concepts are based on one person’s actions for or against another person. BNT is infinite. It cannot harm anything outside itself since it is everything and nothing is outside it.

If there is an afterlife, it would have to be within BNT since BNT is everything. There is no reason BNT would be more aware of a person after death than it was during the person's life.

Even if BNT was aware of the existence of the submicroscopic life within itself, the lifetime of a person, a star, or the universe itself would be nearly incomprehensible, since they all take place in a finite amount of time which is infinitely short on the scale of a being like BNT. In short, even if BNT was aware of us, there is no discernible reason it would care for our fate.

I suppose this is more the psychology of BNT than the physical properties of it, but hey, at least psychology is a science of sorts.

I'm Catholic. I do believe in God, but not in your silly BMT entity.

What would the attributes of your BMT entity be? Who knows? How could anybody know? There's no evidence.

That's the problem when fundamentalists blunder into the mixing of science and religion. When there is absolutely no scientific evidence, none at all, to support the existence of your BMT monster, you can give it any attributes you wish. No one can disprove you, because there's no evidence. And with no evidence, you do not belong in the realm of science.
