Quincy Wright in his book "A study of War" published after WWII concluded that War is a phenomenon of civilized society - without War there is no civilization. I'm skeptical as to the validity of that viewpoint; I think that we can stop war but we need to get past hate and settling old scores before we can. We need to understand that we can never restore the balance for what has happened in the past. If we wipe the slate clean and start over again in with tolerance, compassion, kindness, love and accommodation for everyone then we might, just might find a cure for War.

I'm sad to say this but I don't think that there is a cure for war. Even if every single person in the world wanted peace but one there would still be war. Hitler started out small and people feared him so they followed him. This was one man. There is always going to be that one person who is going to disagree with you and that is sad. World war 1 was supposed to be the war to end all wars because all of the damage it caused but there was another war 20 years later. No matter how hard we try, there will be no end to war.

Yes... there are two cures for war, actually. Those cures are kindness and compassion. If people could ever get to the point of abandoning their egos, their petty jealousies, their resentments, their primal fears, their hatreds, their uncontrolled anger and their primitive needs to control others, then no-one would attack others, no-one would feel that their way of doing things; i.e., culturally, theologically; etc., is any better than anyone else's; and people the world over could finally learn to respect everyone else. By developing kindness and compassion from within, we first learn to respect and appreciate ourselves; as we continue to develop self-respect, we are then better able to give that respect and appreciation to others. The attributes of kindness and compassion never cause wars.

There has to be war, pestilence, hunger, natural disasters, as prophecied, so that we can have Armaggedon and move on to a paradise earth. Into everyone's life a little rain must fall.
After all of this we will live in paradise with no death, sickness, we will see our loved ones who died and we will all be summoned from the burial tombs to live without wickedness.

There have wars since the beginning of time. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever have a world without war. People are too intolerant about other religions...

No to the question. And yes we can work together. War is an ego driven disagreement. As long as egos don't get involved, we work great together.

it's amazing the extent to which people fail to realise the cause of war
everyone thinks it is ego or religion or anger
it isnt religion or race or cultural differences, because in every place on earth that there are religious or racial or cultural differences and no economic injustice, there are no conflicts
it isnt human nature, because with human nature and no super extreme pay injustice [10,000 years ago] there was not giant violence [only tiny violence]
theft is the cause of war
1% get 90% of world income - US$70 TRILLION A YEAR - ie, the system steals US$70,000 off every family in the world
everyone knows that the rich get richer etc
ie, the rich do less and less work per dollar got, the rich get more and more per unit of work they do
justice is equal pay for equal work
this has been going on a long long time, millenia
ie, that money ceaselessly automatically legally shifts from earners to nonearners
fortnightly pay ranges from US$1 billion to one lousy dollar, ie, US$25 a year, US$1000 a lifetime
while bill gates gets paid $1000 every third of a second
injustice
super hyper extreme injustice
justice is essential for survival of a state and for peace and happiness
the extreme level of injustice is destroying 99.9% of our birthright happiness
world income divided by number of families is US$75,000 a year - and more or less everyone works, more or less equally - the poor work longer hours, in worse conditions, and work harder in an hour
90% get between 10th and 1000th of world average pay
everyone INCLUDING HOUSEWIVES AND TERTIARY STUDENTS would be paid US$15 an hour if no one was paid more than this per hour
99% are underpaid, and would be paid more with justice
100% would be better off with justice [no danger from being overpaid among underpaid, no violence escalation to extinction soon]
so there is a unanimous will to have justice
which would you rather have:
a world with a one in 6 billion chance of being the most super overpaid [with proportional danger, having a lot of honey among hungry bears], a 1% chance of being overpaid, a 99% chance of being underpaid, a 90% chance of being paid between 10% and 0.1% of the world average pay [ie, full slavery] and a world of extreme violence headed rapidly for extinction [if no one is going to use nuclear bombs, why are people concerned about more countries having them?], a 99.99% chance of being used and abused by superrich superpowerful, no real democracy, freedom, millions of offshoot problems from the violence, gross corruption and state terrorism and overbearingness
or
everyone including homemakers and students on US$15 an hour, every family working average hard, on US$75,000 a year - peace, plenty, equality, liberty, safety, global friendliness, a future?
everyone will choose the second option, right?
even if you knew that you were going to be the one to get most superoverpaid, you would choose the second option
so there is already a universal will to have equality and justice in pay, liberty, safety - an end to the rich get richer, etc
therefore there will be no struggle to get this, no conflict, no social change, except overfortunes will be distributed
the maximum fortune will be set at the most a person can earn in a lifetime by making money, not just raking money [2006 dollars, US$2 million at most] and the overfortunes fed fully, electronically, directly, equally, into every bank account on earth [everyone to have at least one account, one account per person to receive the overfortunes, govts to pay the small setup and transfer costs [govts will benefit enormously from massive reduction in social disturbance, war and crime, and from the money inflow], everyone [overpaid and underpaid] to be paid to avoid enormous bureaucratic cost of deciding who is to get a share - and the overpaid are being whittled anyway]
every family will receive another US$70,000 a year
99% of people will be released from slavery and wageslavery
the 1% will be released from isolation from humanity, from danger of being overpaid among underpaid, ie of being thieves, from trying to get a benefit from overpay when fairpay meets all needs and virtually all desires, from infighting among themselves for topdog position [eg, stalin purges], from having to rule a chaotic world when they are not the best for the job
maximum earned pay: 50 hours x 50 weeks x 50 years x world average pay, minus lifetime's minimum spending - well under US$2 million [2006 dollars] - $2 million at 5% will give retirement income of $100,000 a year forever
[maximum hours per week set at 50, so that people are not overworking, which is stealing from self, family and community - overworking is hunting rabbits all the time and no time to eat rabbits]
