It's not pretty, but you could put hay down on your yard. You can buy inexpensive concrete pavers from the hardware store. You can put these wherever you will be walking.

you will have to install a drywell
this is a hole 6 ft down and 4 feet across...get a 55 gal drum and cut the top and bottom off from the rims...then lay about a foot thick of river stone a tthe bottom of the hole. Then put in the drum lengthwise. Fill the drum to the top with more river stones.
then all round the outside of the drum more of the same...you will then back fill gravel on top of all this and then top soil. grade your yard all around towards the dry well. the water will seep towards the dry well and dispirse slowly through the rocks...its a lot of work but well worth it...

If I were you I would try to lay down wood along the area that you have to walk in order to get in and out of your house. I think Hay would just make a bigger mess not to mention it has a lot of weed seeds in it. If you don't have long to wait until the weather is ok enough to plant seeds for grass or lay sod it seems like the best answer to me

Don't you have a driveway and sidewalk to your door? You could also put down boards to walk on to keep you up out of the mud.

Try putting plywood down (just on the high traffic areas). I know this sounds extremely trashy, but it will keep mud out of your house and cars.

Throw down some inexpensive indoor/outdoor carpet around where you park and throw down some boards or planks as temporary sidewalks.

You might want to consider putting down sod. Then, the grass might be mature enough to survive.

that is the earth rebelling against you. serves you right for moving to the woods and expecting the woods to conform to your preferences. i hope the mud swallows your house.
