rabbits by nature are fearful creatures due to their low status on the food chain. Taking it slow day by day is the easiest way to break it into being around humans. Some rabbits never loose their fear, especially if it's an older animal. However, try starting out with the rabbit in its cage. It will feel safe and secure there, just as it would in a burrow. If the cage is wire, be sure to cover all but the front to make it feel more safe. Keep the cage door closed for the first few days. Just lay in front of the cage where the rabbit can see you. Do this on a daily basis several times a day. Do not make any loud noises or fast movements as this will scare them. After a few days, try it with the cage door open. Do not make any movements toward the rabbit, just lay there where it can see you. After about a week or two of this, leave the door open for longer periods, perhaps when you are not in the room if you have a baby gate and have rabbit-proofed the room. It will take time, but eventually the rabbit will come to accept your presence and that you mean no harm. In addition, leave one of your shirts or a pair of socks that has your scent on it in the cage at all times. This will also get the rabbit accustomed to your smell and associate it with safety.

First of all you need to earn your bunny's trust. Give him or her treats everyday. Like carrots, clover from your yard, and different kinds of greens. It takes a while to earn a rabbit's trust so just give it some time and it will be fine.
