WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO PICK ON RAP. NOT ALL OF IT IS N*GGA THIS N*GGA THAT. SOME OF IT IS ACTUALLY GOOD. YEAH THE WHOLE CALLING GIRLS BITCHES MAY SEEM BAD BUT IT DOES DEPEND ON CONTEXT AND HOW YOU TAKE IT. THERE ARE SOME FEMALE FRIENDLY SONGS OUT THERE. AND THEN.........EVERONE HAS TO TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH SEX AND VIOLENCE IS IN IT WHEN ALL OF THESE MUCH LOVED MOVIES HAVE PLENTY OF SEX AND VIOLENCE TO GO AROUND. MAYBE THE REASON THE THERE IS SO MUCH OF THAT IS THAT THAT IS THEIR REALITY. DOESN'T MAKE IT ALLL THE WAY RIGHT. I KNOW THAT BUT STILL.
ALSO, IM TIRED OF ALL THESE PARENTS BLAMING RAP FOR THE PROBLEMS WITH THIER KIDS. iF YOU HAVE SOME DISCIPLINE AND CONTROL, YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEM DOING ANYTHING WRONG.
ON THE OTHER HAND..................I DO REALIZE WHAT PEOPLE MEAN WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT THE NEGATIVES BUT IT IS AVOIDABLE. DUHHHHHH. DON'T LISTEN TO IT IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT. DON'T CRITICIZE THE PEOPLE THAT DO LISTEN TO IT.

I agree, I actually like listening to rap songs, although not all of them, I still listen to a lot. Rap just uses those kinds of lyrics because it isn't as attention-grabbing as the beats in a Pop song, or the multi-octave vocal bursts in R&B. It needs another method to get attention, and that is by the lyrics. Although that excuse doesn't make it right, it just wouldn't sound good to rap out a mushy love song. (although there may be a few exceptions who can carry it out)

I grew up on Hip Hop, it's my music, my culture. It's all the old geezers that talk bad about rap.
Besides, the same negative things that are said about rap can be said about a lot of other types of music also.

I'm white, but I still like rap music. I like Tupac Shakur's songs, like "When My Homie Calls" and "Changes", because a lot of them contain a moral. And I really like Eminem's songs because he is honest about his life and his thoughts and is unafraid to speak up.
