The only difference I could think of is maybe there should be some D50 available in case the patient suffers low blood sugar during surgery.
But, since there is no need to check blood sugar during surgery, there probably won't be any need to have it available. Otherwise, there are no differences in the surgery of a diabetic patient and a nondiabetic patient.
