turtles really don't sneeze......is there any discharge coming from it's nose? Is is wheezing or panting? Also are it's eyes swollen? How long does it bask for? It could be a respiratory infection (RI) or a cold... Which means he needs to go to the vet.

RI is ususally caused by the tempatures in the tank water and air being too cold. You'll need to get the temps warmer a 90°f basking spot with a heat lamp over that and the water with a heater in it should be around 82°f. But your turtle will need to see a vet RI can be deadly.

It does not mean its hungry. Most of the time its just because they got some water in thier nose and are spiting it out. With some reptiles it is a way to remove salt from thier bodies, but with a red eared slider its probably just water.
