Yes. The world shouldn't try to force peace between them.
What the world could do is taking sides. If the Arabs want to take side with Lebanon and Palestine, then go ahead. If The US wants to help Israel, then nobody should stop them.
The UN acts only as an observer. Maybe just to make sure that both sides are making their best efforts to prevent casualties from non-combatants.
Whoever wins the war, takes all. If the Palestine-Lebanon and their allies win, they are free to drive all Israeli to the sea, and get their territory back. However, if Israel wins, they can have the entire Middle East to themselves (or share it with US).

Yes, and my wife and I have complained to our representatives for over 20 years to stop the three billion dollar give-away to the militaristic Israeli Government. Our continued support of Israel guarantees an endless stream of Arabic recruits for Hezbollah and other extremist groups. But the Israeli Lobby in Washington D.C. has complete control of our President and rubber-stamp Congress, unfortunately. I don't forsee any good ending to this mess, especially if we actually let Israel bomb Syria and/or Iran.
