No you should not get a boyfriend - sorry

First of all, how old are you? If you need your family's support about getting a boyfriend, then I assume you are still depending on your family. If they support you and you are of reasonable age to have a boyfriend then you should go for it, if you are ready. Don't rush it. It's not the important thing in your life right now. You need to think about going to school, work towards a career.

You don't need any one's suport if you are an independent adult. You may listen to opinions, but the choice is yours to make.

Well, of course you need boyfriends!! Everybody needs boyfriends (well, or GIRLFRIENDS, i guess) so that they can meet and be with a whole different range of people. That doesn't mean you need to go out with every single guy that comes your way and seems as if he's interested in you. Just make sure you DO find guys who like you, want to be with you, want to go out with you because that means you'll make a smarter decision and know which type of guy you want when you get married.

Since you are asking my opinion, I will give it to you.

Because you are questioning who to listen to instead of just dismissing the one NO leads me to think that you yourself don't want a boyfriend.

You could do this:

On a piece of paper divide it into two columns - in one column put the heading

REASONS FOR HAVING A BOYFRIEND AND WHAT THIS WILL GIVE ME

And in the other column: REASONS FOR NOT HAVING A BOYFRIEND AND WHAT THIS WILL GIVE ME

Write your thoughts for each column and then have a look and see what you come up with.

Good luck and thank you for the question.

depends on your age. I would do what I think is right for myself and not what others think is good for me. If you like some one and want to go out with them then do so. You are the one who will be going out with them not your family. But if the guy is not a nice guy then think twice before going out with him. Good luck

How old are you? What does it matter you will eventually get one anyway. I doubt you want to be alone forever because your grandfather said so.

I don't know, ones grandfather is usually very wise. Usually. Depends on what he says and why he says it. Put perhaps you should at least THINK about what he has to say.

Yeah if he cares to share your pastime, i do no longer see the priority. i'm a rock lover too, and my friends pay attention to it each and every each and every now and then even although lots of the music we play is R&B, Reggaeton and Rap.

he isnt running your life. Your parents will allow it but "getting" isnt the right term. We never own anyone else. Be yourself and boys will pursue you if they are interested. Men like a challenge.
