I'm against it because I think that there are already too many humans on Earth. I don't think a clone of the person would actually BE that person, it wouldn't have the memories or soul of that person, it would just be like if that person had an identical twin how many years younger than that person when the clone was born. Identical twins are nature's clones.

There are some nice advantages in the cloning. first of all, when you are cloned, you can be in two places at the same time, you can do a lot of work, par examples: you can have two full time job, one in the day, and one in the night. when you are working in the day, you clone is sleeping; when you are sleeping within the night, your clone can work. so it is cool, you have a easily managed time. or if you are still in high school, you can work and go to school, and both of you can do the homework's and every thing else.but there are so major disadvantages too. par example, nobody might trust you, your Friends can get really confuse about you two. and if your clone does something bad, it can get both of you in trouble, so your life can be in real trouble.
So life would be more likely to be the way it is without cloning, cause even though people see it as a good advantage, but contain much more worse than what they see. So you don't want to see the bad part but just know about it.

I don't see any advantages in it either. It's a sin. That's like playing God and that's not right. And like the person said it is selfish. People might do it because they lost a family member or a friend, but they just need to move on and get over it, like they say, life goes on.
It's also selfish for the clones with not being their own human being. That could mess them up.
The world could also become over populated, we already have over populated countries.
So there could only be disadvantages for this and no advantages except for selfish ones.

I think it would be nice if they could clone say a single organ, like a kidney or a heart, to use for a replacement.
As for cloning the entire human, no way. There are too many unethical issues that could arise. Could you send your clone to work in your place? or use them as a slave? could someone be cloned and then the clone made to commit crimes and the original person could be framed for it? What type of rights would a clone have? Are they considered human?

Good idea...
No problem as long as they have the same rights as the
non-cloned humans...
Probably some ethical issues to be resolved and a lot of
religious wack-o's to be beat down but it is none the less, a
good idea...
Improved strength, disease resistance, intelligence, life span etc.

Leaving religion out of it, because it has no basis in scientific fact, cloning can be defended or reviled based on how threatened you feel by it.
Are you secure enough in yourself to face the prospect of another you? Are you secure enough in yourself to face the prospect that your clone might be engineered to be superior to you in many ways? Are you secure enough in your sex life to accept that sex is no longer needed for reproduction?
I, for one, have no problem with meeting another me, even if it is a new and improved model.

Advantage:I think clonning humans is only a test of man ability and knowledge.
Disadvantage: I think science should be channelled towards more productive activities like finding cure for AIDS, dealing with poverty and disease in the world, STOPPING THE WAR IN LEBANON !
We already have a population we are already killing QUICKLY!
