What is consider a bad friendship?

How do you know that someone is not your friend. What signs to look for? and, what is the best way to end it. Please, serious answers

u should watch out for following signs
1)indifference.ur pal ignores u.she does'nt laughs at ur jokes anymore.while in a company she tries to avoid u by talking to others.she pretends to be deaf when u call her.on seeing u she changes her path.
2)mean behavior.she insults u in front of others.she snubs u and gives u hateful looks.
3)secrecy.she hide things from u.she tries to shake u off or lies when u insist.
4)she tries to conceal things which may help u so that u cant take any benefit

trust and loyalty are foremost requirements for good friendship.a friend should be selfless and sacrificing.she should be a sincere person.she should have genuine feelings for u.

if u want to end a bad friendship it is always wise not to lose ur temper.u can have a serious talk with her.u should ask what have u done and offer explanations after wards.if u are wrong admit it.if u just want to end it say so directly and amicably.don't harbour grudges coz there are more people out there who can be good friend

If they make lots of demands on you (time, money, help) but are never there when you need them. If they want you to listen to their obsessive rants re: boy/girlfriend, work, etc. but cut you short when you need to talk to someone. If they ditch on an important appointment more than about twice, with no good excuse. If they are consistently late...this says that whatever they chose to do was more important than honoring their agreement to meet you. If their behaviour towards you changes totally if one of their other friends is along...all of these are signs of a friendship that isn't working. Also, do you feel used, as if you're just a convenience/servant/trophy for them? That would be a red flag.
The best way to end it sometimes is just to get too busy to spend time with the person; if they call a lot and want hours of listening from you, just say "I'm on my way out the door, sorry, I can't talk now" and hang up. (Go out and walk to the corner and back if you don't want to lie.) If they refuse to take the point, you can write them a letter. A real, physical letter on paper often has more impact than the spoken word, and besides, you can write out your feelings in a coherent manner without fear of losing your temper or being "talked around" to their point of view. A bad friendship if when you and your "friend" no longer provide anything useful to each other anymore. If there is no trust or they use you or you use them for your own gains, that is normally a good clue. Good friends make you feel good or comfortable when you are around them. After all, friendship is about having someone you can count on, trust, and think well of. Someone you respect and who respects you. If being around this person causes you pain or makes you feel unhappy or uncomfortable, then that is a bad friendship.

In my opinion, every friendship is a bad friendship. I've been burned so many times I have learned it is impossible to trust anyone anymore. Friends are too much trouble! They will always be there for you... just to stab you in the back!

oh and usually if they treat you like crap and dont give you the time of day....thats usually a good indication as well.

best way to end it.....tell them things just arent working for you anymore, on the freindship level, and could they give you some space, then just accidentally loose their phone number and address etc.
