Ok, my cat knocked over my raspberry crystal light drink yesterday and it has made this horrible red stain on my carpet. My husband and I have tried everything we can think of. We used our steam cleaner, run the SpotBot over it and cleaned it with OxyClean, but it still will not come out. Looking for any ideas or suggestions on how to get this stain out.
Please note that I am looking for reliable ideas, so please do not tell me to get rid of my carpet. Thank you.

To answer some questions, the carpet is a beige color and it's about 4 years old. Thanks everyone.

put 1/2 shampoo, 1/2 water in a spray bottle, spray the stain, let it sit for a minute or two then scrub lightly with a rag or brush .I have removed soft drink stains with this mixture.

Years ago my sister in law spilled red wine on Mother's white carpet. Mother had it professionally cleaned and the stained remained. Then my other sister in law tried something and it worked.
Make up a small amount of Woolite and water. Slowly pour a small amount on the spot. Let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then put a soft towel over the spot and step on it to absorb the Woolite & water. You may have to do it twice, rubbing while wet.
What many people forget is there is a pad under the carpet which absorbs the stain too, so when you remove the surface stain on the carpet, you still may have stain in the pad that "leaks" through.
Good Luck.

In all seriousness this is an almost impossible color to get out. I don't care what anyone says.. I am a normal person who is an expert at getting stains out but this is one color that has made me scratch my head for years. The closest I have come is using a mixture of club soda and the stuff you spray on stains in your clothes before you put them in the wash...I forget the name this second.. Good luck. and the idea of new carpet did go thru your head right? Mine too. But I ended up with a carpet cleaning place who dulled it but it still didnt come out. I think we have an end table over it right now.

I use Spot Shot on small areas and Foaming Carpet Cleaner for larger areas. Both are available as generic or brand name and have worked well for me.
Use a bristle brush after spraying and then vacuum up any excess moisture by going over the area very slowly with the vacuum. Allow to dry and the spot will be gone. Virtually every spill I have had to deal with is gone from our berber carpet in the house and the plush carpet in the motorhome. Works of fabric furniture too.
We have a dog and three kids worth of traffic on these carpets for over seven years now and they still look good.

Resolve carpet spot cleaner. If everything fails re-arrange the room so the spot is under something. If my carpet was only four years old, I'd just keeping trying any product. Hopefully you'll come up with something that will work.

Just read some responses. DO NOT USE GOOF OFF. That is a paint remover, it will destroy your carpet!
Try Woolite Pet @ Stain Remover. I have found it works better than any other product on the market that I have tried. (Wal-Mart carries it in the laundry section).
Good Luck!

You could try to rent the rug doctor because it works great on getting stains out of the carpet. It may cost money but it works.

soak a tea bag in a cup of hot water, use more than one if it's a big stain..press lightly over the stain..the longer u hold it there, the deeper it will stain it. the color of the tea will give ur color back, i have camel color carpet with 2 kids, works great for me, when they drink red drinks and spill it. goodluck

Try Goof Off, a mineral spirit-based stain remover. It's very strong, so you only use a tiny amount. You could find it at Walmart, the drug store or Home Depot.

Try a product called Awesome or Awesome orange. It's inexpensive and can be bought at the Dollar Tree or Dollar General. I have put it on the fabric on the seats of a vehicle, doesn't fade. Good luck....
