It's not genetic then your parents would have to be gay and if they are gay then they wouldn't have had sex which have meant you would have never been born. So you chose to be gay! You see and if you were born gay then if you had sex with the opposite gender before you were gay then your kid would be bi. Do you understand what the heck I'm saying? Or are you to much interested in learning that it is bad that I had to type all this long just to tell you a true thing that will be in your mind and if I give you the best answer it would be more in your mind am I right?

you can't!!...you don't have sexual feelings when your born..nor when your a little child. you don't even know what gay is until your a teen. and then you find it interesting and then you "become gay" and say you were gay when your born because you don't know how else to explain it. ...that's just my input tho.

Most of the time they justify it to be a recessive gene. I asked this quesiton about amonth ago and if there is proof of a gay gene. They showed me an article or two with pretty much he same information.
It states that a doctor did a study with gay males that had multiple homosexuals within one family. They found a similar cluster of genetic material in certain areas of the human genome an about 60% of those who participated. This study does not conclude anything and I'm curious if we got the same amount of hetero males from families with no homosexual relatives to do the same test whether they would have similar results.
It's a preliminary study that has no real basis of fact and people are preaching it like it's the law of gravity.
Under the theory of evolution and it's area of genetic changes. If being gay was a bioligical thing established at birth. It would literally be a genetic defect since they can not procreate within a gay relationship so eventually the homosexual gene would go away or gay people would become extinct.
They also beleive it's for means of population control. They were born gay to keep the populous down? What a noble cause. They can still get a woman pregnant they just prefer to be gay. If that were truly the case would it not make more sense of people being born sterile or infertal?
There are a lot of justifications out there. None of which truly work. Being gay become more commercially popular at the turn of the century and all the sudden it's a movement of natural order...supposedly. They are teaching are children in grade school that they could be gay, encouraging boys to use the girls bathroom and even came out with a childrens book called The Two Kings. It's sad

GO JUMP OFF A CLIFF YOU F/N GAY BASHER.
Are you born straight? YES. When you were a kid did you say, "Hm, should I like girls or guys?" NO. When you are born you are genetically a female. EVERYONE IS. Sometimes, you don't develop entirely. Sometimes, a boy has his parts, but his brain is feminine and he believes he is a girl. Sometimes, he knows he's a boy, BUT HE LIKES OTHER BOYS, the way a girl thinks. It's not genetic you idiot, so get your facts straight before you put down an entire culture. And another thing, IF your stupid gene theory was correct, a gay man and a lesbian ARE able to have sex, even though they are queer; they just probably wouldn't particularly enjoy it. You moron, sexual orientation isn't passed down from generation to generation like the color of your eyes. It's hormones. Go to school and learn some biology and then come back and ***** to us.

Well you can't really say it's not genetic because if it was your parents wouldn't having to be gay one who just have to carry either the dormant or recessive trait. Ok I'll put it this way both your parents have brown hair and you turn out with read hair this just means you got the recessive trait which mean both your parents have that recessive trait and you were in the 25% range in the random draw of you genetics. Everything comes from our genes but memory. Looks and behavior come from your genes, now keep in mind the people can inherit behavior traits and they can also learn behavior. The so called Gay Trait has not been proven inherited or learned. I can say from experience of being gay that I diffidently did not choose it and I've felt the same why since I can remember. Also keep in mind that I was raised in a strictly straight environment.

Well, I am gay and i can say I have never been straight. The arguement of people choosing to be gay is false, why else would these "Degayification" seminars not work. Also why is it that gay teens have a suicide rate twice that of the national average if they can just choose to be straight rather than killing themselves.
also Ihave never heard of a straight person saying they choose to be straight, they say that they were born that way.
Genetics isn't as simple as 1/2 + 1/2 = 1
but I can say you should Read Matthew 7:1-5

Nice try, but your argument is still no good! Gay people are born gay sometimes genetically but also because that is the way they are. It happens all the time not only in humans but many living beings, there are straight women born with XY chromosomes, there are staright men born with XX chromosomes, then there are people born with normal chromosomes but prefer either the same sex or opposite sex, what's the big deal? You should take a gender class to realize that there really is not much of a line.

You really don't know much about genetics. Following your theory, the offspring of a red head and a blonde would have pink hair!
Moreover, the current research indicates that while there are some genetic tracers in the families of gays, another issue is sex hormones in the womb. All of the major medical associations agree that most homosexuality is predetermined at birth, but they haven't nailed down the exact combinations of factors giving rise to it.
But most important, we are all human beings with the same rights and should be respected as such.

First, I do NOT agree with homosexuality, at all. But honestly, I do believe that you are born gay, only because I see alot of people struggling with this who wish that they weren't that way. So if it was as easy as a choice then, they wouldn't be that way.
Now...just because you are born that way doesn't mean you have to act on it. Just like we are born straight...we dont have to act on it (fornication) until marriage, if so be it. I think homosexuals need deliverance from that lifesyle and those feelings which can only be done thru Christ, the Savior.
Last, I dont know HOW people are born gay. What you said about genetics makes sense, but maybe other people are right concerning hormones. But one thing I do disagree with is children not having feelings for the opposite sex. I always liked the opposite sex when I was a child and I even engaged in mild sex play (show me yours/I'll show you mine, type thing). Also I used to have the biggest crush on Michael Jackson (yes M.J.) and I used to french kiss my life size poster of him. I was like 3 at the time (this was in the early 80's when he still looked like a normal black man). So there is a such thing as children having feelings toward the opposite sex.
Last, the gays need to repent like the rest of us: fornicators, gluttons, liars, etc. The problem with some of them is they refuse to believe that what they are doing is wrong, and if you wont admit that you are wrong then you cant repent, thus this is why I believe the person who asked this person calls them "Sinner for Life."
Have straight day people! ;)

I can say I was born gay, the same way you can say you were born straight.
Funny thing genetics, I have green eyes, but neither of my parents do. There is such a thing as a recessive gene, that can be passed on.
The real problem for you is that by proving to Christians that gays are BORN gay, that means they were created that way by God. So since the Bible says homosexuality is a sin, therefore God must have made a mistake. But God is infallible, so the Bible is a mistake. But the Bible was written by men inspired by God, so it cannot be a mistake...Oh no, the little Christian heads are about to explode!

Normally I would not answer one of your questions, Mr. Stale Poot with the other 5,000 ID's. However, I will say this. I think that one day even you will begin to feel bad about how you treat others. Not now. No. You're having entirely too much fun at the expemse of others. But one day you will come across someone and dish out something that will be so hurtful to that person and the results will not be what you expected. Personally I choose to always see the good in people...no matter how difficult it is. And believe me, sir, you have been one that I can not find anything positive about at this time. One can only hope that eventually you will tire of your game and leave us in peace. Until then, remember the philosophy of Karma. What goes around comes around. And with that being said....I hope you have a good week.

Just to clarify: so you are saying that you have to inherit traits from both of your parents. Then, if your dad is a man, and your mom is a woman, everyone born on this earth should be both a man and a woman, i.e. a hermaphrodite. How come that doesn't happen?
Because that's not how genetics works. And while it's not well-understood why people are gay, your logic is certainly invalid. Read up on genetics (you can go to Wikipedia as a start), and that'll hopefully clarify it for you a bit.
