What are signs that a spouse is cheating?

When they are defensive all the time about something that's sketchy!
When he arugues with you about anything & leaves the house the next minute.
When wierd numbers are popping up more than 2-3 a week.
When he comes home smelling like soap.
When he locks you out his cell phone...by putting a code on it.
When he has the phone on silent or vibrate more than usual.

buying new clothes, spending more time than they normally would on grooming -

Makes excuses for being late-
if you attempt to call them-
they either have their cell turned off,
or say they didn't hear it, because they must've accidentally set it to 'vibrate.'

if you attempt to call them at work -
they didn't hear the phone,
they must've been in a meeting with a client,
in the lavatory,
or the company's answering system was turned on, and must not have put the call through.

When they come home -
Many times they go to shower immediately with the excuse that they feel "hot & sweaty".

More affection towards their spouse than normal.

Also sometimes LESS affection towards their spouse than normal.

Making ridiculous excuses to leave the house.

Offering to go to the store when they normally never set foot inside of one.

Buying gifts or suggesting unexpected weekend getaways-
Often used on the unsuspecting spouse.

If it's a longstanding affair-
It is likely they will have a P.O. box, and will maintain a separate bank account and credit cards. They will also make excuses for how the money is being spent.

Some of the signs that I noticed was that he stayed late at work, maybe even a half an hour, but still stayed late. Started wearing cologne, shaving everyday instead of every other day. But make sure before you approach him. You may even start by saying "Hey, you know what has been bothering me lately..."

As the assistant I can tell you that the wife was told he was going out to buy milk or small items that he supposedly needed for the garage and I would meet him there or we would meet at a restaurant to have a quick bite to eat. He purchased a pager so that we could do pager talk then he up graded to a phone. He would say he was working over-time and would come to my apartment instead. Or going to Larry's to help him fix something, yeah I was Larry or Buddy.
