No it is not.
It is safe for other citizens of other nation, but it is not safe for Americans.
best thing is stay at home and not go.

Very safe...
The United Arab Emirates is a very sophistacated, and wealthy country. Dubai is an extraordinary city with many attractions. You have to have a visa to get into UAE, but I promise that it is definitely worth the trip...and we as Americans are PERFECTLY safe there...

Oh veeeery safe, Dubai is out of this world, a great place to visit, open minded people, women half naked, lovely night life, great beaches and finally lovely sea food, go and enjoy, nothing to worry about at all.

For Ellen J: I have been to Dubai several times alone and was fine. I have wandered around drunk and have remained unscathed. They are actually really protective and respectful of women. Just stay out of the hooker bars and beware the Indian and Banglideshi expats.

it is absolutley safe i have went to dubai many times and it is great, it is like living in 1 big 5 star hotel.

not very right now unless you went straight there. You'd have to get a visa anyway, so they might not give it to you, depending on how safe they feel it is. You'd have to do some research beforehand, and maybe even call their embassy first.

not very safe right now...India has gone on record for having the highest death toll for the bird flu....also with all the war and fighting going on in the middle east, I would stay as far away as possible.
