I am conscious of the fact that I have an unconscious drive to subject myself to total humility by repeatedly answering questions that will never give me a Best Answer on Yahoo Q & A...which means I am a glutton for punishment on an unconscious level...but love the challenge on a conscious level. Hm. "Issues"

At times. You can be conscious when you're sleeping. See, that's why we have emotions, we know how we feel in dreams. For instance, if you dreamt of a dying family member, wouldn't you cry and once you wake up, you see tears on your pillow. But at other times, not really. Like you know when you stare at something for a long time without blinking? It's like sleeping with your eyes open, unconscious.. Mused. But, what really is happening is that you're thinking at the same tmie.

Yes, if you remember your dreams. If you mean can you be conscious and unconscious at the same time, I would say no, unless you are almost asleep or almost awake - which might be for a few seconds or a few minutes, and you would have to train yourself to distinguish from the two - not a very precise way of measuring it, however.

I know (am conscious) that I dream. When asleep (when I dream), am am unconscious. Therefore, I am conscious of my unconscious mind.

(There are also various medical procedures, like cat scans, that would show you that your unconscious is reacting to things around you. Reading the results of such procedures, your conscious mind can know about your unconscious mind...)

There's also a half-awake (waking dream) state (and some mind-altering drugs), where you can be conscious that you are dreaming/hallucinating (may even be able to control the dream/hallucinations), but your unconscious mind is creating the dream/hallucinations...

It really depends on what theoretical bent you are coming from
I would argue that your "unconscious" doesn't exist and even what you call conscious may seriously be an illusion

Are you? And if you were, how would you consciously apprehend what you unconsciously know? Can you do this at will? Or do you need a post-hypnotic suggestion?

Yeah -- it's really freaky when it happens too, and it's not always pleasant, then again, other times, it's like - wow, shazam! awesome.
