Jesus said that he was like our teacher. He said that all he done, we can do. He said that he was our way to go with God. He was our brother in name of God to show us what is the best way to be. He said, he was like us. And God said that we are like him, not completly.

I think it's because Jesus was human, and he was the representation of God in human form. People feel closer to Jesus because, according to the Bible, he touched our planet and was an example of a perfect human being. We feel the need to be like Jesus, to be sons and daughters of God. We actually are that, but we're still unconscious about the truth of God inside all of existence.

I don't know your age but you misunderstand some things. Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Jesus came as a teacher and an example of how you should live your life. He was of the Essene, an ascetic branch, who disliked what the Pharisees were doing to the temple and the faith of the Hebrew. You must not forget that Jesus was a Jew at the time of Roman occupation and all he did and said was against this cultural back round.

He is not just God's son. He is a part of God. Without him God is not complete. Read the gospel of John Chapter 1 and see what I mean.

I believe the misconception lies in the fact that Christians are to literal.

Jesus by many opinions was what Buddhists call Enlightened. He was mans full potential. There are others like him, even on this earth today, but are very rare. So everybody has this potential, every soul.

He was his only begotten son, who was given to the world to take the punishment for our sins, so we wouldn't die everytime we sinned.

We CAN do all he did, but have you ever met anyone who has?
