Should DC have killed Psycho Pirate?

True, he's kind of a third rate villain, but he did survive the original Crisis on Infinate Earths, and was the only human alive who knew about the worlds that were destroyed. That's gotta count for something, as a character.

He should not have been killed. Geesh, they made Dr. Light a star, how do you not keep Psycho Pirate around? He actually had a good gimmick.
