You want children, then have them. its obvious that you are pretty capable of taking care of an adopted child, but maybe you should, I'm not saying you havent, but take a little more time to think the costs, etc. Remember that the child you will be adopting will be just like haveing your own child; take's alot of time and energy. At your age of only 20, maybe you should get a degree so you can take care of your adopted child better than at a high school degree. You seem very intellegent so, you seem like you'd go to college or are already in college. If thats so than wait a little to adopt. You need to be completely secure with your life. You MIGHT later get married, and you'd want to have a stable life before you have this adopted child in your home. Just, from my advice, give yourself a little more time, not years and years, but just some more time to get through a school. You never know what the exact price is for taking care of another being and yourself until you experience it so don't underestimate at age 20. take some time. hope that helps.

Oh, it's not bad enough the child does not have parents! You think you are the answer to this child's problems? You don't want to settle down, but you want to have a baby? Are you seeing anything here? Like, you are to young to know what you are doing!! Why subject a child to your immaturity? Grow up, get a life and let the little orphans go to a real FAMILY!

In order to adopt (legally, of course) you will have to show financial and emotional security among other things. The cost to adopt can be very expensive, and a single mother who isn't wanting "to settle down" will probably not pass the social examinations required. I suggest getting a pet for now and waiting until you ARE ready to settle down and have a secure situation before starting a family. Adoption, even though it is a loving act, can be quite stressful and you will need excellent financial stabilitiy and gread friends and family for emotional support.

i am actually delighted. a child needs both a father and mother figures to make a complte home. since your parents are committed to this humanitarian move i bet that is settled. where my concern lies is u getting a patner that is equally commited could be difficult.however if it makes u happy your patner should work towards loving the child
