The main part of the male reproductive apparatus is the penis, being the long appendage which becomes enlongated and firm during arousal. There is also the testicles, which produce and store sperm, the male contribution to reproduction. They are housed in a skin and tissue sack that regulates the temperature of the testicles so that the sperm is not too hot or too cold. Testicle is derived from the Latin words for "witness" and "little", hence the meaning: "little witness". (Becasue the testicles don't do much during intercourse, just bounce about and watch)
