I downloaded limewire and i got charged cause there was no way on downloading it free and i dnt understand why people say it is but problem now is that is that i go on 360 pro and i cant get a connection

I was also given limewire as a supposed free download site but all I ever had was problems so I didnt bother with them again. Fortunately I didnt get charged but then I didnt receive anything either. Plus, evertime I clicked on something I liked the look of it was taking me somewhere else. It's rubbish. Are there any decent free download sites out there?

I paid for my Limewire, but it was well worth it. Because we paid I've been told that we are protected by the copyright laws of file sharing. I don't really know though. Limewire works great, never have problems and it is fast. Try reinstalling it, or doing a computer restart.

Limewire is being sued by the record companies right now, so I would suggest not downloading or using the program.

Limewire is free.There is the free version and the PRO version.You downloaded the wrong one.You are supposed to dowmload the basic.That is free.If you or anybody want to download it, here is the screen.Just download the basic.It is free.But it is also illegal.Stay away from the porn.I repeat:STAY AWAY FROM THE PORN

remove all of the limewire stuff using add or remove programs, run a spyware check to insure your safety, then go back to the limewire site and make sure you go for "standard limewire", not pro, if it is still no good go for something else, edonkey or bittorrent are both well rated. good luck

i have limewire you have to make sure u click on the free or basic version there is a version that requires u to pay for it is the upgraded version, and with the basic version it will ask if u want to upgrade u just have to say later thats the only down fall but for dling music and programs it works pretty good.

Limewire also installs (without your permission of course) some type of spyware that can interfere with your connectivity.
I'm not sure what you can do. You can try uninstalling it and see if that helps.
I would also recommend installing AVG free, Spyware Blaster, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Zone Alarm to help safeguard your computer's privacy.

if you go to the limewire site you can download a free version but if not you have to let the gnuttella network acccess to connect to the network/internet on port 6346 hope this helps

Limewire carries a lot of junk when you download it. Better have a good security system....I recommend Trendmicro PC-cillian

Limewire recently got into political trouble. (It is Illegal Software)
