The worst thing about being an adult is realizing that all the lies you have been told when you were a kid (you will be a moviestar, you will be rich, you will have a great job, lovely spouse, kids, etc.) won't necessarily come true. We are fed b******* most of our childhood only to become more pissed off as we get older and realize that the pumpkin will never turn into a coach. I guess this is why people play the lotto.

If you have really grown up, then there is no worst thing about being an adult. The things we crave as children we give to our own children and receive the pleasure vicariously. Working gives us a place to think, invent, earn money, grow socially and spiritually and learn. Paying the bills - well thats life - if you dont want to pay then dont hook up to the utility services! Standing on your own two feet with the strength of your own mind is far better than conferring with a bunch of teen or twentysomething pals who are still trying to figure their s h i t out just like u were. We needed to do it but thank god we dont now!
But most importantly is realising and appreciating how amazing our own parents were with the sacrafices they made to enable us to mature even when as teens we thought they knew nothing. Being a teenager is the worst stage of all - the ME ME ME generation - adults are all about ALL OF US ALL OF US!

We start sweating the small stuff in life and forget how great it was to be a kid and live life one day at a time.

But reality is we also have to support ourselves (aka financial problems, relationship problems etc) and have expectations. So the worst thing about being an adult is behaving like one...can we really escape it. I don't think so!

Aging and getting sick. Work isn't too bad because at least you get paid and with that money you can get things. I like being an adult but still feel like a kid. I do/get the stuff I wanted as I child but my family couldn't afford to buy me. The only thing that sucks is aging and having to deal with doctors and all that crap.

Prostate exams, need I say more?

The responsibility of having to pay bills, lots of 'em, that are too much!

Plus, for the most part, you have to "act like an adult" instead of being who you are. You can't have fun anymore these days without being frowned upon. I say as long as no one gets hurt, or has some sort of great loss (fininacially, or the like) do what ever the **** you want!

I don't know if its the "worst", but its a fact that as adults we are considered responsible for the acts we commit; good and bad. However, many so called adults choose not to take responsibility for themselves, and instead depend on others to support them, while blaming their problems on society, race, gender, childhood, etc while failing to better themselves.

Not being able to go out and play without booking a babysitter and taking two hours to get ready. Responsibility, bills, health, children. Worrying about how you appear to others and your social status, what size of house/car you have. Having to work and work and work, at work, at home, on holiday. God now I am really depressed!!!
