Will they do better because they have a new coach? Does anyone still go for the Raiders? C'mon you people have to be with me on this!

I love the Raiders now & then when they had Rich Gannon, Charlie Garner, Jerry Rice, and a number of others. The year they went to the Superbowl and got destroyed by the bucs.
But after watching the first string team against the Eagles in the Hall of Fame game, they STINK! The 1st play from scrimmage there was a penalty, and it seems like the offense was struggling to even move the ball. Seems like the same old Raiders. They only scored against the 2nd string Eagles defense with their 1st string offense and the Eagles 1st string offense were moving the ball against them easily. So this is gonna be a disappointing year, I just know it and it doesn't matter that they have Art shell, cuz' he ain't gonna do nothing. I look for the Raiders to be 6-10, no post season.

Yes, though he has not had the best of careers, Aaron Brooks was a hell of an off season aqusition. He will be more willing to involve Randy Moss in the passing game and that can only lead to good things.
Also, the division is slipping, (dont get me wrong still a very tough division) the Chargers have an unproven QB and the Raiders have always been able to contend with the Cheifs. Still look for the Raiders to finish second in there division at best and fall short of the playoffs. But they will improve.

Yes they will be better than last year. They can't possibly get any worse. But seriously I do think they will do better, not really a playoff team just yet but they won't be the worst team in their division. Which is no small order in that division, but I do think they'll be better than the Chargers this year. Aaron Brooks is no Gannon, but he is better than Collins fo show. He actually had they second most rushing yards for QB's last year, only behind Michael Vick. Also look for Lamont Jordan to rush the ball a lot more this year, and also look for Moss to get a lot more passes this year as well because Brooks is mobile enough to let Moss develop the play. Don't forget about their D, ya they lost Woodson, but they got a new stud Linebacker in the draft(they've needed that) and their 2ndary is better from last year as well. So ya the Raiders will be better, but don't expect them to do anything special.

No the Raiders wont be any better then last year. Never did like the Raiders and never will. I'm a Bronco fan myself.

I hate the Raiders, drag out the old coach and see how things go?
I hope their season is worse then last year (if that's at all possible!)

They will do better...but be realistic doing better than a 4-12 and the basement of the conference ain't that hard. Plus i have always taught that A. Brooks had at least a little talent, he just needed better couching.
But in the end the Steelers will repeat so....it doesn't matter.

i think they have to do better this year. i am not sure i think it is because of the coach. i think the team wants to do better. they did look pretty good against the eagles.
