Garfield is pretty much a cat genius. He understands TV and makes witty and sarcastic observations. He also has good taste in food rather than just eating canned raw meat.

LOL, he's a bit like the cat across the road from me; fat, ginger and eats everything! However, Garfield is a fictional character originally drawn by (I think) Jim Davis.

It is in fact possible that he is actually dead or dieing and has been abandoned by his owner. Look at this, it is quite chilling!
