How do I tell her that I'm thankful she came to visit me in the most non-kodak-moment way? I really don't want to make a big deal out of it, but I still want it to be meaningful. She traveled from a far-away place, kept her cool, gave me some time despite her busy schedule, and still gave me a motorcycle ride which was pretty amazing.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

She's leaving tomorrow in the morning at 6am. It is 11am today where I live.

I would shop around for a small memento (a figurine?? a nice frame with a the picture of the two of you???) and get her a nice card that expresses what you're feeling. It sounds like she's an amazing person who would appreciate your thoughtfulness for what it is....

Say thanks for coming its been fun having you. What's the big deal in that? You seem to be making a big deal out of nothing by putting so much of your focus on it. You want a non-kodak-moment way to say it. How's this...
Wake up, leave a note saying been fun, you know where the door is and go out for awhile. That work for you?

I like to send my guests home with a small goodie bag full of snacks, and postcards or small souveniers from where I live. Just tell your friend you are so glad for the visit and would love to do it again sometime. It doesn't have to be emotional or kodak-moment.

Just say exactly that......I don't want to make a big deal, I'm not trying to make this a kodak moment...but I'm glad i got to see you and spend the time I did with you. I had a great time!
if you're too shy to say it to her face write it down on a card.

I would get her something tasteful that uniquely represents your city. I lived in Seattle and got a friend that came to see me a throw blanket with pictures of the sites we went to see. But there were Christmas ornaments, nik-naks, Northwest food assortments, books about the city and state, etc. Whatever fits for your city.

Get her a cheesy souvenier cup and fill it with flowers. Tell her she can keep the cup to remember her trip and you really appreciate her coming out. Buy a tiny little motorcycle and put it in with the flowers to remember you motorcycle ride.

I had a great time. I'm so glad you came - I know it wasn't cheap and you had to rearrange your schedule. It was a blast - especially the motorcycle ride! I hope you'll come again next year.

Take a picture that was taken during from her visit framed, and give it to her before she leaves. Maybe one of you on the motorcycle, or a picture of the two of you together.

I guess you're just wanting friendship. Take her out to eat etc and just tell her right out "It was soo good to see you", Keep calling etc and something more may come it in time.
