When you discover that someone you know speaks very highly of you to other people. For example, your girlfriend tells her friends how great you are but doesn't tell you she said those things. Instead, you find out from someone else that she thinks of you that way and talks about it too.

At home its do the dishes and everyone pick up after themselves.. lol ... out in public? What really makes me smile is seeing people being nice and courteous with each other whether it be on the road or in a business... there are so many rude and uncaring people nowadays that when you see a truly nice person opening a door for someone or helping an elder to car etc... it just makes me smile and remember that not all people are bad.

I love to garden...and love seein' people that take pride in their yards. But the yard kiddy-cross from me is the yard of death..
nothings alive...their yard is probably bug free cause there's nothing for the insects to live on....and it's been like that for 4 years (how long I've lived here) but yesterday people were outside pointing and making hand jesters about what they were visualizing. Workers came in with concrete bags and taking away dead weeds, diggin and puttin in posts! Not sure what they're doing but at least their doing something...brought a very unexpected smile to my face. Can't wait to see what comes of it. My office faces the street so I take a peak out the window now and again to check out the progress!
Smiles, smiles, smiles...

The last really unexpected thing that made me smile was I woke up and next to my bed was my favorite breakfast piping hot on my nightstand and a bouquet of fresh daisies (my fav flower). My boyfriend left early for work and brought that stuff back while I was still sleeping. My heart melted.

Whenever someone does something nice for me at all. Just holding open a door, or smiling at me. Little things are always the best. When someone does something huge for you, that's nice too, but honestly, it's those little moments. When little things are done for you, especially by someone who is around you all of the time, it means the most over all. When they do something small and sweet, it means they were thinking about you.

A couple of things. Be a volunteer at the ASPCA or a homeless shelter/soup kitchen. Treat animals kindly and respect the planet. Pay it forward with a random act of kidness, since a little bit goes a long way. Don't use violence. Helping others out. These are what I can think of in general.

I have had a lot of people do a lot for me to help me get back on track after my abusive life...and that made me smile and gave me strength...but I would smile more if I could help someone out in a bad situation or if someone just needed my help....I like to be able to help people...

A smile. Just someone looking at me and smiling as if the sun shines from their hearts, that always makes me smile.
