People - and by people we are generally referring to right wing individuals who happen to disagree with him – hate Michael Moore because he underscores the blatant duplicity, immorality, and hypocrisy of the right wing agenda in this country. So what sets him apart from other liberals who also antagonize the right? Why is he targeted to receive an extra helping of acrimony from the conservatives in this country?
Conservatives know the power of the media in swaying public opinion, better than anyone else. The existence of Fox News is a testament to their acknowledgment that the visual communication of ideas can have a powerful influence over mass opinion. Similarly, the predecessors to modern conservatives, such as Hitler and Napoleon, also knew the power of the visual medium in the political arena.
So far the right wing, with their media outlets have had a virtual monopoly over the propaganda in this country. How else can you explain how a man who was a mediocre student, failed business man, and inarticulate fool with a dubious military background, could defeat accomplished intelligent men like Al Gore and John Kerry.
What Michael Moore represents to the right wing is a competing force that threatens to destroy the right wings monopoly over how the media influences the people. He infuses his cinematic polemic with such humor, creativity, wit, and compassion that it speaks to many individuals; and God forbid, it actually makes them think differently from the narrow world that the right wing chooses to live in. That causes a great deal of anxiety in the hearts of many right wingers.

I also do not believe that he's impartial, yet his bias isn't outrageous, that's the unfairness of an recommended citizen. some human beings do merely not like fat human beings besides the undeniable fact that. The people that would hate Michael Moore probably don't like to question the issues he highlights.
I'm not sure he has ever claimed that his documentaries or movies are totally fact-based. But he certainly exposes some interesting topics and personalities surrounding them.
Making our government look foolish is not that difficult. In fact, our tax dollars our paying those in charge to do it for us at this very moment.

I guess these days’ people seem to hate anyone who says it like it is. I think Michael Moore does a much better job at Journalism than FOX news.
Besides, he looks much nicer and personable than that scary looking Man Coulter.

Because, he offers an alternative to the mainstreams media's flow of propaganda. It's my advice that one should follow a trail of information and 'then' make a decision as to what is really going on. Unfortunately, if you do not follow a clear republican agenda, you are labeled and libeled as a wacko. Do not believe 'anything' on earth that you have not verified and weighed on your own merits and not the dictates of a world that was 'set up' when people still believed the world was flat.

I don't see how that's funny, given that thousands of people lost their jobs when GM closed down their plant there, and given that Flint if one of the top places the army goes to recruit due to the desperate situation of unemployed people there.

I appreciated his documentaries like Bowling for Columbine.
But when it came to Fahrenheit I was disappointed because unlike the other films it required no discipline to ascertain the facts.
If you read Greg Palast book "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" you would have learned everything that Moore covered in the film. Although Fahrenheit was compelling I just can't give him credit for it.

He showed the rows of coffins, the bitter fruits of Bush's labor, which Republican strategists distinctly did not want the American public to see,and they smeared him until red-state robots all stared at you, brainwashed, saying "Moore is bad,Moore is bad".
The little cons cant stand a muckracker that shows how bad this organized society can get.

I dislike Michael Moore because he makes so-called "documentaries" which are just out and out libelous and wrong. He massages stories, manufactured headlines to include in his movie (Barrentripe 911 or some other kind of garbage) - he edited things that people said, showed people supposedly answering one question when they were asked a completely different question... He is all about manufacturing information, and then calling it a "documentary..."
His agenda was to hurt the President, but I believe that it helped the President, because people recognized the truth, and they saw the left's desperation in trying to hurt the cause of freedom, just to serve their own selfish interests...
