The previous two responses are completely wrong. If both parents are type O, then any child will also be type O.

Here is a web site that discusses the possibilities.

Based on this, one of the following is likely true:

1. You are mistaken about your blood type, your husband's blood type or your child's blood type,

2. Someone other than your husband is the father of your child.

3. Your child was switched at birth with another baby.

4. Your child has a genetic mutant.

5. You are not telling us the truth.

I don't think 3 or 4 are likely.

Type O blood is recessive. Meaning both of your parents carried the allele for O and passed it along to you. So if you are Type O, and your spouse is Type O, then all your children must be type O.

If parents have O type of blood group i,e. if its either OA for male and OA for female , the progeny will have either OO, AA or OA both. Similarly if its either OB (m)and OB(fm), the progeny will have either OO, BB or OBand if the parents are OO(m) and OO(fm),the progeny will be only OO.And if the parents are OA and OB , the progeny can be either OO, OB,OA,AB
