Well, I'm not defending this person, but it sounds like a bored teenager who got his mom and dad's computer.

I have only been asking/answering for a couple of weeks and I'm pleasantly surprised at the high number of well thought responses. Especially when you consider the overwhelming number of questions !!!

Also, a lot of folks trying to be funny don't know where to 'draw the line' in regards to race and religion. So, there is a lot of things that can be considered offensive.

Well I must agree that the comment is inappropriate. But the truth is, there are a lot of ignorant people around these days. The only reason why they can say these things is because they are all hiding behind their little avatar. They are rude, arrogant, ignorant, immature, and a lot of the time, uneducated. So, if you make an educated comment while someone put you down using some retarded argument that has no justification to it, then the rest of the world is going to laugh at the foolish one, not you.

Too bad this is not a forum, otherwise there will be lots of spectacular flame wars around here.

Just look around you. Its is the way that most adults look at everything. but people can get back some happiness if they just become in tune with mother earth. I can only understand the reason is that life has given them a real hard time. the jobs suck today the Perice's of everything is up and people are still living off
mi-mum wages and can not even go out for lunch or coffee it is to much money for a lot of people some of us can't even go do laundry because we don't have the money or the gas to get there . that is why peoples hart are so anger it all seems so hopeless.and with out hope what is left?

Yes, I see.

So much anger over a few words, none meant with any malice. To be frank my friend, and by that I don't mean French (;?), I think that here in the States we are going through a period of possibly terminal fragmentation. Whole groups of people are being culled away from each other in the name of some rather terrifying political social fervency.

I am, sadly, reminded of what I have read about Germany in the 30s. Mistrust escalating to xenophobic frenzy. Your nationality, what you believe, your religion, your political party, your social class, heck, even what kind of music you prefer, all these wedges splitting us from one another, making us as a people powerless to resist what appears to be a seachange in our government.

On these very boards I mentioned once that I was born in Mexico. Which I was, to Americans working there, so I am of course as such a citizen of the US. I explained all this. I got a number of posts calling me a wet-back (Yahoo actually censored that word til I hyphenated it), a beaner (love that silly word... beans are so good for you) telling me to go home.

Listen, when people are actually crazy enough to think they can build walls between their country and others, then they have been roused to a rather frightening degree. Best to let them tear away at each other... step aside and let the crowd have at each other.

My advice. Stay chill, stay aware, don't let the maniacs ruffle your feathers. Its a historic spasm going on out there. Feel compassion for the people who are so wrapped in their anger.
There's must be a lonely world...

Some people hold on to anger because it's easier for them to keep that alive than to forgive.

Forget the answers meant to cause problems...they are just inflammatory statements meant to bring about a reason to call names. Nor worth time or energy to respond to them.

Perhaps it's hard to forgive and forget, hence we carry emotional baggage of hatred & even pass it on to future generations. Anger is okay to a certain extent, aids survival. But we express anger that is more self-destructive.
Its better to forgive, forget and move on than to actually gather hatred and pile up anger. When we throw rationality to the wind, then anger is retained.

I think people today have no respect for anyone else. Because they are not taught it anymore. It is not nice to call people names just because of their race. Some people aren't even the race some think they are so they get mad which do ya blame them. I think people need to start showing respect to all.

You know George, people are what and who they are. Go with the flow and don't take offence. I am German and have been called some terrible things. Names can't hurt you. Have a nice day.
