Man, I've had friends that smoked pot for a long time. They generally start acting more bipolar.

Yes, some Doctors (with questionable judgement) and some patients (also with questionable judgement but excused for their impairment) may think Pot or mariguana may be used for treatment of Bipolar Disorder. However, it has to be legal to do so. In Mendocino County, California that was the case until a few years ago. I believe laws changed since and is no longer legal to use the drug for medicinal purposes. I speak from personal experience, where the Doctor had a questionable reputation and the unfortunate patient did not get any better. Bipolar disorder or manic-depresion can not be cured, to my knowledge, and at best in can only be controled with medicines that may be required regularly and for life.

Pot is useless in treating bipolar disorder. There is one self-medication that seems to work - alcohol. Alcohol will generally depress the mind and is favored by undiagnosed bipolar individuals. It's a pretty bad way to go, though, as the side-effects are worse than the disease.
Actual medication is just about the only way to go.

The only benefit I could see for a bi-polar sufferer smoking pot, would be that it might make them a bit lethargic, thus they might be less likely to act out in a physically aggressive manner. Other than that, I'd say there would be no real benefit of them smoking it. Most likely this celebrity was trying to rationalize their smoking of weed and used the one thing they figured would garnish some sympathy.
Think about it, if someone had badmouthed them for smoking weed and they claimed they only did so to help with their bi-polar symptoms, whether it's true or not, the person would look fairly mean spirited to sit there and continue to berate the celebrity or argue whether there's any real benefit from their smoking of pot.

i don't believe that is a medical condition that pot is used to treat...the only thing that it may have helped was to calm this person down during a manic state, but it would not be a long time effect, if one at all...

nicely bipolar means that you've 2 very extreme moods. it ought to very last for months at a time or as low as about some hours-(the more effective extreme circumstances). one mood is amazingly elated, you're overly satisfied and excited. you've a tendency to be very meticulous and wander away in what you're doing. because the elation will improve with the era of time you spend in that mood you seem to get crazier to the persons round you. like in the destiny you may say wow i ought to extremely prefer to have a deliver and then the subsequent day i imagine im gonna construct a deliver and then the subsequent day you migth tell people about your plans to construct the boat and then the subsequent day you purchase aspects and by technique of the end of all of it you are able to imagine about is progression the boat and not in any respect something else concerns. now this can seem uncommon to you yet it is totally one party of heightened elation. 2d mood is melancholy. there are various of indications of melancholy starting from keeping apart your self and not in any respect chatting with basically sulking and making all of us round you depressing. there are also different severities of melancholy. regularly bipolar people received't harm themselves in any respect in the time of their melancholy yet some were nicely-known to harm others that get contained in the way of feeling the way they do, back thats an extreme case. if you're frightened you orsomeone you comprehend has this uncommon yet very extreme situation you ought to communicate with health care service once you are able to, because it ought to worsen without clinical care

I never heard this, but it does mellow you out so I would think it would lessen the effects of mania and depression, so it makes sense. The only thing is that it seems you would need to always be stoned in order for this to work.
