Mr Yu Yuen Hong
Chinese, born in Indonesia
Graduated in Art Faculty of a University in China in 1973
In 1978 stated to organize art exhibiitions in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and also take part in many important international exhibitions.
His works were collected by Museum.
He is a chaiirman of Hong Kong Exhibris Association.
His work are sold in Art Galleries in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, USA.
The works of the etching artist Mr. Yu Yuen Hong are made from hand made grass fibre paper pressed by either metal or wooden plates. The style is primitive, crude but yet artistic. The plan and semi-three-dimensional embossment surface produces a subtle depiction of modern art. The black matting suggests a strong sense of mystery of Chinese culture. This intensified personal style gets Mr. Yu's works to be selected in the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition (1985 and 1987) of the Hong Kong Urban Council. Many of Mr. Yu's works are widely collected by many Hong Kong dignities.
