It is frozen and it is a replacement. The company said that they would not give us another one when we got this replaced. I feel it should last longer than 6 months for what they cost. Does anyone have a solution?

yes, buy a creative zen mp3 player. Some can play videos and photos, some only do music. But i have one and it has lasted me 3 years with no major problems (it locked up twice, but over 3 years that's not bad, and all you have to do is push the reset button and it's fine).

i've heard lots of complaints about ipods, so the best thing to do is get something else. there are zillions of mp3 players out there.

If it's frozen then hold the center and menu botton at the same time for 5 seconds and that will reset it.

Get a Creative Zen and when it freezes up all you have to do is take the battery out and your good to go.

Actually the first person who answered is right, but you actually have to hold it down for 10 seconds. Good luck!
